How can you gain more control over mood, anxiety and panic
Focus on Priorities Initially, we'll develop together treatment goals and an action plan. Besides talk therapy, we'll discuss whether to add hypnosis and/or art therapy, which might be beneficial in your particular case. And perhaps referrals, lifestyle changes, and specific coping skills to manage anxiety and mood disturbances.
Managing physical symptoms Early on, I'd provide you with specific tools to manage physical symptoms, such as muscle tension, heart palpitations, trembling and shaking, shortness of breath, etc.
Foster Insights and Self-awareness In our deeper work, we'll explore together how past experiences and family culture have shaped your distressing emotional reactions. Often they're based on automatic assumptions and mistaken realities (catastrophizing, generalizing, etc.) that were developed as far back as childhood. Once you understand the causes of your inner blocks and self-defeating inner dialogues, you'll start healing and changing.
