Most of my clients feel better and more hopeful after their first session -- not because of a miracle cure. They realize that they're taking charge. That in itself is empowering and relieving. A positive beginning for taking care of yourself, learning new skills, gaining insights, increasing awareness, dealing with unconscious reactions, and finally breaking free.
I can provide you -- and your partner, if couples therapy is indicated -- with techniques to contain distressing emotions and communicate more effectively. Along with these tools, you'll discover the deeper roots of what sets you off -- without beating yourself up. This promotes empathy and forgiveness towards yourself and others.
According to your personality and issues, we may include special interventions, such as hypnosis, and art therapy, if appropriate. All this leads eventually to understanding and healing on a deeper level, conscious and unconscious change for the better.
Many of my clients have gained control over their emotional issues. Why shouldn’t you? It feels liberating if you can keep a clear head when you’re confronted with people or situations that used to upset you.
